東日本大震災と福島第一原発事故で被災し、災害公営住宅で暮らす99歳の女性とその息子夫婦の姿を、2018～21年の3年間にわたり見つめたドキュメンタリー。 2011年に発生した東日本大震災と福島第一原発事故から7年。福島県浪江町からの避難を余儀なくされた一家は、故郷に戻るか、新たな生活を選ぶかの狭間で揺れていた。震災をきっかけに長年営んできた印刷業を廃業し、いわき市の災害公営住宅で暮らすなかで、家族内の役割や関係性も静かに変化していく。99歳の母テツは、記憶が薄れゆくなかでも生まれ故郷・大熊町への思いを離さない。寡黙な息子タケマサは母を敬いながらも、介護の多くを妻シゲコに委ねている。役割を担い続けてきたシゲコは、家族内で当然とされてきた立場や、自身の生き方について見つめ直すようになる。 揺らぎのなかにある一家の日常を通して、「家」とは何か、「私」とは何かを問いかける。監督は、東日本大震災以降、福島をフィールドに映像制作を続ける山田徹。

A documentary observing a 99-year-old woman and her son and daughter-in-law, who were affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster and live in disaster recovery public housing, over a three-year period from 2018 to 2021. Seven years after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, a family forced to evacuate from Namie Town, Fukushima, wavers between returning to their hometown and choosing a new life. Having closed their long-running printing business due to the disaster and living in disaster recovery public housing in Iwaki City, the roles and relationships within the family quietly change. Tetsu, the 99-year-old mother, clings to memories of her birthplace, Okuma Town, even as her memory fades. Her taciturn son Takemasa respects his mother but leaves most of her care to his wife Shigeko. Shigeko, who has continued to bear this role, begins to reexamine her taken-for-granted position within the family and her own way of living. Through the family's daily life in flux, the film questions what "home" is and what "I" is. Directed by Toru Yamada, who has continued making films in Fukushima since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
