世界的に活躍する建築家・隈研吾の15年間の歩みを記録したドキュメンタリー。「湘南予告篇映画祭」などを主催する映像作家・岡博大が、大学時代の恩師である隈研吾の代表作品とその叡智を後世へ継承するべく自らカメラを手に取り、2010年から15年をかけて自主制作として撮りあげた。 撮影を開始して間もない頃に起きた東日本大震災に伴う東北での復興プロジェクトを始め、東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会のメインスタジアムとなった国立競技場や、東京大学隈研吾研究室での建築教育の現場など、世界16カ国80以上のプロジェクトを撮影。常に新たな建築のあり方を問いかけ提案し続ける隈研吾の姿を、俳句のように断片的な映像の連なりで描き出す。東北では、南三陸や陸前高田、登米などの復興プロセスや市民の日常の記録映像を通じて、日本人の復興の知恵を伝える。

A documentary chronicling 15 years of the globally active architect Kengo Kuma. Filmmaker Hiroharu Oka, who organizes the 'Shonan Trailer Film Festival' among others, took up the camera himself to pass on the representative works and wisdom of his university mentor Kengo Kuma to future generations, self-producing the film over 15 years starting in 2010. Beginning with reconstruction projects in Tohoku following the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred shortly after filming began, he captured over 80 projects in 16 countries, including the National Stadium that became the main venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and architectural education at the University of Tokyo's Kuma Lab. The film depicts Kengo Kuma, who constantly questions and proposes new ways of architecture, through a series of fragmentary images like haiku. In Tohoku, it conveys the wisdom of Japanese reconstruction through documentary footage of recovery processes and citizens' daily lives in Minamisanriku, Rikuzentakata, Tome, and other areas.
