【この作品を選んだ理由】大学時代、映画サークルの一つ上の先輩に教えてもらった作品です。田舎の自然豊かな町に住む一家が、それぞれ悩みをもちながらも、のどかに暮らしている。大きな事件はないけれど、シーンの一つ一つがチャーミングで、ユーモアに溢れていて、「ああ、自分もこんな映画撮れたらなあ」と思いました。何度見返しても大好きな邦画です。春野家の他にも、今見ると信じられないほど豪華な役者さんたちが次々と出てくるのも魅力です。

[Reason for selecting this work] A film I was introduced to in college by a senior in my film circle. A family living in a nature-rich rural town goes about their peaceful days, each carrying their own worries. There are no major incidents, but every scene is charming and full of humor, making me think, "Ah, I wish I could make a film like this." It's a Japanese film I love no matter how many times I revisit it. Beyond the Haruno family, the astonishingly star-studded cast that appears one after another is also a major draw.
