漫画家・吉崎観音が1999年より「月刊少年エース」にて連載中の同名コミックを原作とするテレビアニメ「ケロロ軍曹」の20周年記念プロジェクトの一環として、2010年の「超劇場版ケロロ軍曹　誕生！究極ケロロ　奇跡の時空島であります!!」以来16年ぶりに製作された劇場版アニメーション。地球を侵略するはずのケロロ小隊が、新たな侵略者から地球を守るべく奮闘する姿を描く。 侵略するために地球へやって来たものの、居候先の家で怠惰な毎日を過ごすケロロ軍曹と小隊の仲間たち。そんなある日、全国各地で摩訶不思議な現象が発生する。危機感を抱いたケロロ小隊は侵略者のプライドをかけて立ち上がるが、行く先々で謎の文字に遭遇する。 脚本・総監督を務めるのは、実写映画「銀魂」シリーズなどの監督として知られる福田雄一。スタッフ陣にはこれまでのシリーズを支えてきたメンバーがそろい、追崎史敏が監督、小池智史がキャラクターデザイン、BN Picturesがアニメーション制作を担当。劇場版オリジナルキャラクターのアルルとデルルの兄弟を、「SixTONES」のジェシーが1人2役で演じる。

As part of the 20th-anniversary project for the TV anime "Sergeant Keroro," based on the manga by Mine Yoshizaki serialized in "Monthly Shonen Ace" since 1999, this theatrical anime is the first in 16 years since "Keroro Gunso the Super Movie: Creation! Ultimate Keroro, Wonderous Time-Space Island!!" in 2010. It depicts the Keroro Platoon, who were supposed to invade Earth, fighting to protect the planet from a new invader. Sergeant Keroro and his platoon members, who came to Earth to invade but now spend their days idly at their host family's home, encounter mysterious phenomena occurring across the country. Feeling a sense of crisis, the Keroro Platoon rises to the challenge, putting their pride as invaders on the line, but they encounter mysterious letters wherever they go. The screenplay and general direction are handled by Yuichi Fukuda, known for directing the live-action "Gintama" series. The staff includes key members who have supported the series, with Satoshi Ozaki as director, Satoshi Koike as character designer, and BN Pictures handling animation production. Jesse from SixTONES voices the theatrical original characters, the brothers Aruru and Deruru, playing both roles.
