フィンランドを代表するロックミュージシャンで、グラフィックデザイナーや作家としても活動するヘッラ・ウルッポが長編映画初監督を務めたシュールレアリズムSF。これまで数十本のミュージックビデオを手がけてきたウルッポ監督が、自身の体験をもとにした離婚と喪失、再生の物語を、スペイン・アンダルシアの山岳地帯で撮影した幻想的な風景とモノクロームの映像美、ブラックユーモアを交錯させながら独創的に描き出す。 男は誕生日祝いの席で、女から「新しい男ができた」と告げられる。そっと頬をなでて去っていく彼女には、すでに新しい恋人がいた。それ以来、男の耳の奥では鳴り止まない音が響きはじめる。壊れた均衡を取り戻すため旅に出た男は、荒野で出会った甲殻類アレルギーの殺し屋を相棒に、不可解な出来事の連鎖へと足を踏み入れていく。 フィンランドの映画館「キノ・ライカ」を映画監督アキ・カウリスマキと共同経営することでも知られる作家ミカ・ラッティが共同脚本と製作を務め、劇中にも出演している。

A surrealist science fiction film marking the feature directorial debut of Hella Urppo, a leading Finnish rock musician who also works as a graphic designer and writer. Director Urppo, who has helmed dozens of music videos, draws on her own experiences of divorce, loss, and rebirth, weaving a uniquely original tale set against the fantastical landscapes of Andalusia, Spain, intercut with monochrome visual beauty and black humor. At a birthday celebration, a man is told by a woman, 'I've found someone new.' She strokes his cheek and leaves—she already has a new lover. Since then, a persistent ringing echoes in the man's ears. Setting out on a journey to restore his broken equilibrium, he encounters a crustacean-allergic hitman in the wilderness, who becomes his partner as he steps into a chain of inexplicable events. Writer Mika Latti, known for co-managing the Finnish cinema 'Kino Laika' with filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki, co-wrote the script and produced, also appearing in the film.
