2021年8月のアフガニスタン・カブール陥落を題材に、避難民が殺到し大混乱に陥った空港からわずか48時間で200人を救出する任務に挑んだハンガリー国防軍の闘いを活写した戦争アクション。実際にハンガリー政府の主導のもと国防軍が作戦を展開した「シャーマン作戦」をベースに映画化した。 2021年8月、米軍のアフガニスタンからの撤退により、カブール国際空港には各地から避難民が押し寄せ、大混乱に陥った。そんな中、NATO加盟国としてアフガニスタンの治安維持にあたっていたハンガリー国防軍の特殊部隊は、アフガニスタンで活動する自国民および現地協力者200人を保護し脱出させる任務を託される。兵士たちは地獄と化した空港ゲートの最前線で、救うべき命の選別やテロの脅威といった困難な状況に直面していく。タリバンによる空港制圧が迫る危険な状況のなか、部隊の補佐官を務めるバーリント中尉は、かつて命を救われた女性医師エステルがタリバンに拉致されたことを知る。 ハンガリー防衛省と国防軍の全面協力により、アフガニスタンの空港や戦場、カブールの街並みをすべてハンガリー国内に再現。実際に作戦に参加した兵士を軍事アドバイザーに迎え、常にテロの脅威にさらされる緊迫感や激しい戦闘シーンを臨場感たっぷりに描き出す。

A war action film based on the August 2021 fall of Kabul, Afghanistan, vividly depicting the struggle of the Hungarian Defense Forces, who undertook a mission to rescue 200 people in just 48 hours from the airport that had fallen into chaos as refugees flooded in. The film is based on "Operation Shamaran," an operation actually carried out by the Hungarian Defense Forces under the leadership of the Hungarian government. In August 2021, with the U.S. military's withdrawal from Afghanistan, refugees poured into Kabul International Airport from all over, plunging it into chaos. Amid this, the special forces of the Hungarian Defense Forces, who had been maintaining security in Afghanistan as a NATO member, are entrusted with the mission of protecting and evacuating 200 Hungarian citizens and local collaborators active in Afghanistan. At the front lines of the airport gates that have become hell on earth, the soldiers face difficult situations such as selecting which lives to save and the threat of terrorism. As the Taliban's takeover of the airport looms, Lieutenant Bálint, who serves as the unit's adjutant, learns that a female doctor named Eszter, whose life he once saved, has been abducted by the Taliban. With the full cooperation of the Hungarian Ministry of Defence and the Defense Forces, the Afghan airport, battlefields, and Kabul cityscapes are all recreated within Hungary. Actual soldiers who participated in the operation are brought on as military advisors, vividly portraying the tension of being constantly under terrorist threat and intense combat scenes with full realism.
