How Dare You?
「そこのみにて光輝く」「きみはいい子」の監督・呉美保と脚本家・高田亮が3度目のタッグを組み、現代を生きる子どもたちの日常を生き生きと描いた人間ドラマ。 10歳の小学4年生・上田唯士は両親と3人家族で、おなかが空いたらごはんを食べる、ごくふつうの男の子。最近は、同じクラスの三宅心愛のことが気になっている。環境問題に高い意識を持ち、大人にも物怖じせず声をあげる心愛に近づこうと奮闘する唯士だったが、彼女はクラスの問題児・橋本陽斗にひかれている様子。そんな3人が心愛の提案で始めた“環境活動”は、次第に親たちも巻き込む大騒動へと発展していく。 「LOVE LIFE」「ちひろさん」などに出演する嶋田鉄太が主人公・唯士、本格的な演技は本作が初となる瑠璃が心愛、ドラマ「3000万」の味元耀大が陽斗を演じた。クラスメイト役にはオーディションで選ばれた子どもたちを起用し、ワークショップを通して共通の時を過ごしながら、呉監督とともにそれぞれのキャラクターをつくりあげた。脇を固める大人のキャストとして、唯士の母・恵子役で蒼井優、担任教師・浅井役で風間俊介、心愛の母・冬役で瀧内公美が出演。
Director Miwa Nishikawa of "The Light Shines Only There" and "Being Good" teams up for the third time with screenwriter Ryō Takada for a human drama that vividly depicts the everyday lives of children living in the present day. Ten-year-old fourth grader Yushi Ueda lives in a family of three with his parents—an ordinary boy who eats when he's hungry. Lately, he's been curious about his classmate Kokoa Miyake. Yushi struggles to get closer to Kokoa, who has a strong awareness of environmental issues and speaks up to adults without hesitation, but she seems drawn to the class troublemaker Haruto Hashimoto. The "environmental activities" that the three begin at Kokoa's suggestion gradually escalate into a major uproar that draws in their parents. Tetta Shimada, seen in "Love Life" and "Call Me Chihiro," plays the protagonist Yushi; Ruri, making her first full-fledged acting performance in this film, plays Kokoa; and Yōdai Mimoto of the drama "30 Million" plays Haruto. Children selected through auditions were cast as classmates, and through workshops they spent time together and built each character together with director Nishikawa. Supporting adult cast members include Yū Aoi as Yushi's mother Keiko, Shunsuke Kazama as homeroom teacher Asai, and Kumi Takiuchi as Kokoa's mother Fuyu.
