A visual work by director Baz Luhrmann, who helmed the 2022 biographical film "Elvis," using cutting-edge technology to revive Elvis Presley in the modern era. Elvis Presley, hailed as the "King of Rock and Roll" for his innovative music and charismatic stage performances, lived a 42-year life as a darling of the times. During the production of the biopic "Elvis," director Baz Luhrmann and his team discovered a treasure trove in Warner Bros.' vault: footage shot for "Elvis: That's the Way It Is" (covering his August 1970 Las Vegas engagement) and "Elvis on Tour" (recording his 1972 nationwide tour), as well as unreleased 8mm film and unheard audio of Elvis discussing his career. This film centers on the legendary Las Vegas shows and iconic performances from the nationwide tour, restoring countless precious images over more than two years using state-of-the-art restoration/remastering technology. Using over 70 songs including hits like "Can't Help Falling in Love" and "Suspicious Minds" as well as rare performances like "Oh Happy Day," it synchronizes Elvis's overwhelming vocals with his own words, delicately and boldly reconstructing the footage for an immersive cinematic experience.
