A human drama depicting the daily life and struggles of North Korean defectors living in South Korea, as well as the anxieties and confusion of living as a gay man, through the eyes of a young person living as a "double minority"—both a defector and gay. Chul-jun, a gay young man who defected from North Korea, is supported by the strong bonds among fellow defectors, yet hides his sexuality and carries deep loneliness within. Unable to find a true place for himself in either South Korean society or the defector community, he eventually steps into Seoul's vibrant gay community and meets the friendly young man Yong-jun. Through his relationship with Yong-jun, Chul-jun gains his first companions and first genuine connections, gradually expanding his world—but then... Jo Yu-hyun, who has primarily worked in short films and theater, makes his feature film debut in the lead role, embodying protagonist Chul-jun with delicate emotional expression and quiet presence. Kim Hyun-mok of "We Can't Go to Heaven, But We Can Love" plays Yong-jun. Director Park Jun-ho, making his feature debut, was inspired by his experience volunteering for about three and a half years during university to support young North Korean defectors. The film won the Best New Director award in the film category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards in 2026, among other high acclaim in South Korea and abroad.
