In the Clear Moonlit Dusk
A live-action film adaptation of the popular shoujo manga "Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki" by Miyuki Yamamori, serialized in Kodansha's "Dessert." This youth love story stars Shunsuke Michieda ("Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight") and features Seira Anzai ("Karada Sagashi THE LAST NIGHT") as the heroine, depicting the first love between a boy and girl at the same high school who are each called "Prince." First-year high school student Yoi Takiguchi is called a "Prince" for her androgynous beauty and cool demeanor, but internally she harbors complicated feelings about that perfect prince image. One day, she meets Kohaku Ichimura, an upperclassman at her school who is also called a "Prince" for his flawless looks. The two, each struggling with the gap between their inner selves and how others perceive them, gradually find themselves drawn to each other, closing the distance between them as they confront what it means to be true to themselves. The cast includes Rintaro Mizusawa as Takuto Oji, the third "Prince" who shakes up the relationship between Kohaku and Yoi; Yuki Yoda as Yoshiko, Kohaku's childhood friend; Naohito Fujiki as Yoi's father Seiichi; and friends who watch over the romance between Kohaku and Yoi played by Yuna Hoshino, Saya Suzukawa, Sorato Okura, and Tatsumi Asa. Directed by Kentaro Takemura ("Koukai Uso Nikki"), with screenplay by Yuichi Tokunaga, who has worked on numerous hits including "Tonde Saitama" and "Kaguya-sama: Love Is War."
