A sci-fi adventure anime that depicts a queer story unfolding in a cute and chaotic universe, filled with black humor. Clitopolis, a planet ruled by lesbians. For thousands of years, this planet has been governed by the Clitopian family, who possess the power to summon the legendary weapon Lovelyus, but the shy Princess Saira alone cannot use this power. On her 23rd birthday, Saira is dumped by her bounty hunter girlfriend Kiki, who says her love is "too heavy." As Saira locks herself in her room and cries over the shock, she receives a threatening call from the Straight White Mailiens, once the strongest in the universe, telling her that if she wants to save Kiki, she must bring the Lovelyus to the most dangerous planet in the universe. Relying on information from internet forums, Saira sets out for the party planet S Club 17 to unleash the Lovelyus sleeping within her. Boarding a broken-down spaceship, she embarks on a grand adventure across the galaxy together with Willow, an aspiring musician she meets along the way. Directed and written by Leela Varghese, who has humorously depicted queer stories and cultural diversity, and Emma Hough Hobbs, a production designer and animator. Shabana Azeez (TV drama "The Pitt") voices Saira, and Barney Van Tiel—active in many fields as a screenwriter, songwriter, actor, and rapper—voices Kiki.
