「スパイダーマン」シリーズのゼンデイヤと「THE BATMAN ザ・バットマン」のロバート・パティンソンがそれぞれ主演を務め、結婚式直前に暴露された“最悪の秘密”をきっかけに、完璧なカップルの関係が崩壊していく姿を描いた恋愛ドラマ。 ボストンのカフェで運命的な出会いをしたチャーリーとエマは、結婚も決まり幸せの絶頂にいた。結婚式まであと7日に迫った夜、付添人の親友夫妻と4人で食事していた彼らは、これまでに自分が犯した最悪の行いを告白することになる。軽い気持ちで始めたゲームだったが、エマの“最悪の秘密”に全員が衝撃を受け、チャーリーは彼女に別の顔があるのではないかと恐れを抱く。幸せな日々は一転して疑心暗鬼のどん底に陥るが、今さら結婚式の準備を止める訳にもいかず、ついに当日を迎えてしまう。 共演は3人姉妹バンド「HAIM」のメンバーで「ワン・バトル・アフター・アナザー」など俳優としても活躍するアラナ・ハイム、「憐れみの3章」のママドゥ・アティエ、「マーティ・シュプリーム 世界をつかめ」のヘイリー・ゲイツ。監督・脚本は「ドリーム・シナリオ」「シック・オブ・マイセルフ」など独自の世界観をもつ作品で注目を集めるノルウェー出身のクリストファー・ボルグリ。製作には「ミッドサマー」のアリ・アスター監督が名を連ねる。
Charlie and Emma, who meet by fate at a Boston café, are living the happiest of days. On the night just seven days before their wedding, during dinner with their best friend couple who are also their attendants, they confess their worst past deeds. It starts as a lighthearted game, but everyone is utterly put off by Emma's 'worst secret.' Charlie begins to fear that Emma may have another side beyond his imagination. Their peak of happiness plummets into the depths of suspicion and paranoia, but there is no way to stop the wedding preparations, and the day finally arrives—.
