A psychological thriller depicting the life of real-life serial killer Ed Kemper, who terrorized America in the early 1970s. In 1969, Ed Kemper, who had been institutionalized at age 15 for murdering his grandparents, is released at 21. Ignoring his psychiatrist's advice, he returns to his estranged mother, who had dominated and psychologically abused him since childhood through verbal abuse and neglect. This twisted mother-son relationship triggers Ed's pathological desires toward women, leading to a series of murders. Despite his brutal crimes, Ed skillfully blends into society and evades police attention. Director Chad Ferrin, known for extreme and experimental horror, sensationalizes the warped psychology of Kemper, a killer who significantly influenced early FBI criminal profiling. Regular Ferrin collaborators Brandon Kirk and Susan Priver play Ed Kemper and his mother, respectively.
