A sequel to the 2006 hit film "The Devil Wears Prada," based on the bestselling novel of the same name by American author Lauren Weisberger, set 20 years later. Miranda rules the fashion world as the charismatic editor-in-chief of New York's top fashion magazine "Runway." Andrea, who was once hired as her assistant and endured grueling days under her strict perfectionism, now works as a news reporter. One day, learning that Miranda and her right-hand man Nigel are facing a crisis, Andrea returns to "Runway" as a features editor. She also reunites with her former assistant colleague Emily, who has become an executive at a luxury brand and holds the key to "Runway's" survival. As their dreams and ambitions clash, events take an unexpected turn. The cast reunites from the previous film, including Meryl Streep as Miranda, Anne Hathaway as Andrea, Emily Blunt as Emily, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel. David Frankel returns as director, and Aline Brosh McKenna as screenwriter.
