1970年代ローマの衣装工房を舞台に繰り広げられるお針子の女性たちの人生模様をユーモラスに描き、本国イタリアで話題を集めたヒューマンドラマ。「カプチーノはお熱いうちに」「あしたのパスタはアルデンテ」のフェルザン・オズペテク監督が、自身が助監督時代にローマの老舗衣装工房で出会った人々との思い出を原点に、イタリア映画黄金時代を支えた職人たちへのオマージュを込めて描き出す。 1970年代、ローマ。カノーヴァ姉妹が経営する衣装工房では、お針子たちが忙しく立ち働いている。シングルマザーの帽子担当パオリーナ、夫の暴力に怯えるお針子ニコレッタなど、華やかな衣装制作の裏側で、彼女たちはそれぞれ事情を抱えていた。ある日、世界的な衣装デザイナーから新作の依頼が舞い込む。その高い要求に応えるべく、見たこともないような至高の一着を作ろうと奮闘する彼女たちだったが……。 出演は「パルテノペ　ナポリの宝石」のルイーザ・ラニエリ、「息子の部屋」のジャスミン・トリンカ、「はじまりは5つ星ホテルから」のステファノ・アコルシ。2026年ミラノ・コルティナ冬季オリンピック閉会式の衣装を手がけたステファノ・チャミッティが衣装デザインを担当。2025年・第70回ダヴィッド・ディ・ドナテッロ賞で観客賞を受賞した。

A humorous human drama set in a 1970s Rome costume workshop, depicting the lives of the seamstresses, which became a hot topic in Italy. Directed by Ferzan Özpetek ("Bitter Coffee," "Tomorrow's Pasta is Al Dente"), the film is inspired by his memories of the people he met at a historic Roman costume workshop during his time as an assistant director, paying homage to the artisans who supported the golden age of Italian cinema. In 1970s Rome, at the costume workshop run by the Canova sisters, the seamstresses work busily. Behind the scenes of glamorous costume creation, each woman has her own troubles: Paolina, a single mother in charge of hats, and Nicoletta, a seamstress afraid of her violent husband. One day, a request for a new creation comes from a world-renowned costume designer. To meet their high demands, they strive to create a supreme, one-of-a-kind garment unlike anything seen before... Starring Luisa Ranieri ("Parthenope"), Jasmine Trinca ("The Son's Room"), and Stefano Accorsi ("The Starting Line"). Costumes are designed by Stefano Ciamitti, who also designed the costumes for the closing ceremony of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The film won the Audience Award at the 70th David di Donatello Awards in 2025.
