「女っ気なし」「やさしい人」などのギョーム・ブラック監督が、パリ近郊の街セルジー・ポントワーズにあるレジャー施設「レジャー・アイランド」でのひと夏を切り取ったドキュメンタリー。 エリック・ロメール監督作「友だちの恋人」の舞台として知られ、ブラック監督自身も幼少時に頻繁に訪れたというレジャー・アイランド。バカンス客で溢れるその施設には派手なアトラクションは一切なく、水と緑の土地が広がっている。 美しい陽光が降りそそぐ中、施設に忍び込もうとする少年たちや、女性をナンパする青年たち、過去を懐かしむ老人、施設の管理や警備をする従業員たちなど、老若男女さまざまな人々の自然な姿を映し出していく。

A documentary by Guillaume Brac, director of 'A Summer's Tale' and 'The Gentle Ones,' capturing a summer at the leisure facility 'Leisure Island' in Cergy-Pontoise, a suburb of Paris. Known as the setting for Éric Rohmer's 'My Girlfriend's Boyfriend,' and a place Brac himself frequently visited as a child, Leisure Island is filled with vacationers but has no flashy attractions, only expanses of water and greenery. Under beautiful sunlight, the film captures the natural moments of various people: boys trying to sneak into the facility, young men hitting on women, an elderly man reminiscing about the past, and employees managing and guarding the place.
