Michael Mason, a former special forces soldier, lives a secluded life with his beloved dog in a lighthouse on a remote island off the coast of Scotland. When Jessie, a young girl who delivers supplies weekly, is thrown into the sea during a storm with her uncle, Mason doesn't hesitate to dive in and save her. Eventually, Jessie, who has lost her only remaining relative, and the lone wolf of a man quietly grow close, but their peaceful routine is suddenly shattered by an MI6 attack. In truth, Mason has incurred the wrath of former MI6 chief Manafort and has been placed on the nation's 'elimination list.' Resolved to settle the score, Mason returns to the British mainland while protecting Jessie, but MI6's surveillance network and skilled assassins await them there. Newcomer Bodhi Rae Breathnach, who played Shakespeare's eldest daughter Susanna in 'Hamnet' (nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture at the 98th ceremony), has been cast as Jessie. Bill Nighy of 'Living' and 'Love Actually' plays former MI6 chief Manafort, and Naomi Ackie of 'Mickey 17' plays Deputy Chief Roberta.
