「逆転のトライアングル」「ベイビーガール」で世界的に注目を浴びたイギリス出身の俳優ハリス・ディキンソンの長編映画監督デビュー作。路上生活者や依存者の支援団体をサポートしてきた経験に着想を得て、ディキンソン監督が自ら脚本も執筆。生活力もモラルもない路上生活者の青年が、変わることを切望しながらも転落していく姿をユーモアを交えて描き、社会の隙間に落ちた人々と、そこから抜け出せない社会システムを映し出す。 ロンドンの路上で暮らすマイクは、通行人に小銭を要求したり、炊き出しの列に並んだりと忙しい日々を過ごしている。そんなある日、彼は親切にしてくれた男性から衝動的に金品を奪ってしまい、逮捕される。出所後は更生することを誓うマイクだったが、順調な生活はふとしたことで崩れ、再び転落していく。 「ハリー・ポッターと謎のプリンス」のトム・リドル役などで知られるフランク・ディレインが主演を務め、「午前4時にパリの夜は明ける」のメーガン・ノーサム、「LUCY ルーシー」のアムール・ワケドが共演。タイトルの「URCHIN」という言葉は、社会に居場所を作れない、はみ出しものを意味する。2025年・第78回カンヌ国際映画祭「ある視点」部門に出品され、最優秀男優賞（フランク・ディレイン）と国際批評家連盟賞を受賞、ディキンソン監督もカメラドール（新人監督賞）にノミネートされた。

Harris Dickinson, who was building a career as an actor while harboring a dream of becoming a film director, drew inspiration for the theme from his own experience supporting organizations that help addicts and homeless people. While depicting 'people who have fallen through the cracks of society' and 'the social systems that keep them from escaping,' Harris's gaze—devoted purely to 'observation' without imposing goodwill or moral lessons—humorously brings to the surface the hopeless yet impossible-to-look-away lives of people trapped in dilemmas. Mike, who lives on the streets of London, is busy again today begging passersby for change and lining up at soup kitchens. Then one day, on impulse, he robs a man who had been kind to him and is arrested. After his release he vows to turn his life around, but his stable life crumbles fragilely at the slightest turn. Will ruin await Mike, who is in the midst of his downward spiral, or...!?
