初監督作「あみこ」でベルリン国際映画祭フォーラム部門に史上最年少で招待されるなど高く評価された山中瑶子が監督・脚本を手がけ、「あんのこと」の河合優実を主演に迎えて撮りあげた青春ドラマ。現代日本の若者たちの恋愛や人生を鋭い視点で描き、2024年・第77回カンヌ国際映画祭の監督週間で国際映画批評家連盟賞を受賞した。 21歳のカナにとって将来について考えるのはあまりにも退屈で、自分が人生に何を求めているのかさえわからない。何に対しても情熱を持てず、恋愛ですらただの暇つぶしに過ぎなかった。同棲している恋人ホンダは家賃を払ったり料理を作ったりして彼女を喜ばせようとするが、カナは自信家のクリエイター、ハヤシとの関係を深めていくうちに、ホンダの存在を重荷に感じるようになる。 「猿楽町で会いましょう」「サマーフィルムにのって」の金子大地がハヤシ、「せかいのおきく」「プロミスト・ランド」の寛一郎がホンダを演じ、新谷ゆづみ、中島歩、唐田えりか、渋谷采郁が共演。

A youth drama written and directed by Yoko Yamanaka, highly acclaimed for her directorial debut 'Amiko,' which made her the youngest director ever invited to the Forum section of the Berlin International Film Festival. Starring Yuumi Kawai from 'The Girl in the Photograph,' it sharply portrays the love lives and struggles of contemporary Japanese youth. It won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Directors' Fortnight of the 77th Cannes Film Festival in 2024. For 21-year-old Kana, thinking about the future is too boring, and she doesn't even know what she wants out of life. She has no passion for anything, and even love is just a way to kill time. Her live-in boyfriend Honda tries to please her by paying rent and cooking, but as Kana grows closer to the confident creator Hayashi, she begins to feel Honda is a burden. Daikei Kaneko from 'See You at the Jogasaki Cart' and 'Summer Film' plays Hayashi, and Kanichiro from 'Okiku and the World' and 'Promised Land' plays Honda. The cast also includes Yuzumi Shintani, Ayumu Nakajima, Erika Karata, and Shiku Shibuya.
