This immersive survival thriller vividly depicts a young man's desperate escape after being swallowed by a giant sperm whale. Seventeen-year-old Jay encounters a massive sperm whale while diving alone. Jay desperately tries to escape the whale as it hunts a giant squid, but he becomes entangled in the squid's tentacles and is swallowed whole by the whale. Facing a life-or-death crisis, Jay relies on the wisdom imparted by his late father Mitt, who was his diving mentor, to attempt an escape from inside the whale's body. As he overcomes one danger after another, Jay traces memories of his father and gradually confronts himself. Austin Abrams, known for TV series "The Walking Dead" and the film "Weapons," stars, with Josh Brolin as his late father Mitt and Elisabeth Shue as his mother Zara. The director and screenwriter is Brian Duffield, who wrote "Predator: Badlands" and "The Babysitter."
