This human drama depicts a troubled and isolated nursing assistant searching for her own way of life through a series of encounters. The film was planned and produced by Tomoko Kusube, a psychiatrist and actress, who drew from her own experience battling cancer to convey the importance of living a positive life. Koharu Sakaguchi, burdened by worries she cannot share with anyone, flees her home after a clash with her father. Unable to return due to her feelings of guilt, she begins working as a nursing assistant at a hospital. Through her interactions with patients facing their illnesses in their own ways—such as "The Cancers," a trio of women living brightly despite their battle with cancer, and Yuki Yamamoto, who chooses to be discharged to spend her remaining days at home—Koharu gradually begins to confront her own life. One day, she suddenly recalls a precious message from her beloved grandmother, Suzuko, and makes a firm resolution. Misaki Mizumura (*Move Forward as You Are*) stars as Koharu Sakaguchi, with Yura Chihara as Hiyori Sakaguchi, Kaoru Yumi as Grandmother Suzuko, Rie Shibata as cancer patient Yuki Yamamoto, Kappa Kunikida as Yuki’s husband Takashi, and Shiro Sano as Dr. Hiroshi Ueda. The film is directed by Isao Matsumoto (*Let’s Meet at Angie’s Bar*).
