壮大なアンデス山脈の下でアルパカの世話をして暮らす少年のまなざしを通し、そこに暮らす人々の生活に息づく祈りと、鉱山開発をめぐる対立構造を描いたペルー映画。 標高4000メートルを超える壮大なアンデス山脈に囲まれた、ペルーの小さな村。8歳の少年フェリシアーノは忠犬ランボーとともに、アルパカたちを放牧に連れていくことを日課にしている。彼の一家は、アルパカの世話をして刈った毛を売ることで生計を立てている。サッカーワールドカップ開催の前年、ペルー代表が予選を突破してロシアでの本戦に進出することを夢見るフェリシアーノは、ラジオの実況中継に耳を傾け、心を躍らせる。そんな穏やかな日常がいつまでも続くと思っていたが、やがてこの村にも自然を脅かす採掘業者と村人との対立が生じ、ある日、村全体を巻き込む大事件が勃発する。時を同じくして、フェリシアーノが特にかわいがっていた幼いアルパカのロナウドが姿を消してしまう。 監督は、本作が長編第2作となるフランコ・ガルシア・ベセラ。主人公の少年フェリシアーノ役には、公開オーディションとワークショップを経て選ばれたアルベルト・メルマを起用した。2024年・第74回ベルリン国際映画祭にて、ジェネレーションKplus部門の特別賞、イベロアメリカ映画部門の審査員特別賞を受賞。

A Peruvian film that, through the eyes of a boy living under the vast Andes Mountains caring for alpacas, depicts the prayers embedded in the lives of the people there and the conflict surrounding mining development. In a small Peruvian village surrounded by the majestic Andes Mountains over 4,000 meters high, 8-year-old Feliciano makes it his daily routine to take his alpacas grazing with his loyal dog Rambo. His family makes a living by shearing and selling the wool from the alpacas they care for. In the year before the FIFA World Cup, Feliciano dreams of the Peruvian national team qualifying and advancing to the finals in Russia, listening excitedly to radio broadcasts. He believes this peaceful daily life will last forever, but soon a conflict arises between the villagers and mining companies threatening nature, and one day a major incident engulfs the entire village. Around the same time, a young alpaca named Ronaldo, whom Feliciano especially adored, disappears. The director is Franco García Becerra, for whom this is his second feature film. The role of the protagonist Feliciano is played by Alberto Merma, selected through open auditions and workshops. The film won the Special Prize in the Generation Kplus section and the Special Jury Prize in the Ibero-American Film section at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in 2024.
