「Mr.Boo！」シリーズで日本でも人気を集めた香港の喜劇王マイケル・ホイと、香港を代表するコメディアンで「毒舌弁護人　正義への戦い」など俳優としても活躍するダヨ・ウォンが32年ぶりに共演を果たし、香港映画歴代興行収入第1位を塗り替える大ヒットを記録したヒューマンドラマ。香港の葬儀業界を舞台に、「家族」「伝統」「死生観」といった普遍的なテーマを丁寧に描き出す。 ウエディングプランナーのトウサンはコロナ禍で多額の負債を抱え、やむを得ず葬儀業者に転職するが、結婚式と葬式は大きく異なり、さまざまな困難に直面してしまう。利益を追求したいトウサンに対し、ともに葬儀を取り仕切る厳格な道士・マン師匠は伝統を重んじており、2人は絶えず衝突する。しかしマン師匠やその娘マンユッと関わるうちに、マン師匠に対するトウサンのわだかまりは少しずつ消えていく。やがてトウサンは、マン師匠が葬儀で行う道教の伝統的な儀式「破地獄」の真の意味に気づきはじめる。 葬儀業者トウサンをダヨ・ウォン、マン道士をマイケル・ホイが演じた。監督は、脚本家出身で本作が長編監督第3作となるアンセルム・チャン。2025年・第43回香港電影金像奨で主演女優賞（ミシェル・ワイ）など5部門を受賞した。第37回東京国際映画祭ワールド・フォーカス部門では、「ラスト・ダンス」の邦題で126分のバージョンが上映された。劇場公開は140分のディレクターズカット版。

A human drama reuniting Hong Kong comedy king Michael Hui, popular in Japan for the 'Mr. Boo!' series, and Dayo Wong, a top Hong Kong comedian and actor ('A Witness Out of the Blue'), after 32 years. It became a massive hit, breaking Hong Kong's all-time box office record. Set in Hong Kong's funeral industry, it carefully explores universal themes of family, tradition, and views on life and death. Wedding planner To-sang, burdened with debt from the pandemic, reluctantly switches to the funeral business but faces difficulties as weddings and funerals are vastly different. To-sang, focused on profit, constantly clashes with the strict Taoist priest Master Man, who values tradition. However, as To-sang interacts with Master Man and his daughter Man-yuet, his resentment gradually fades. He begins to understand the true meaning of the traditional Taoist ritual 'Breaking Hell' that Master Man performs at funerals. Dayo Wong plays funeral director To-sang, and Michael Hui plays Taoist Master Man. Director Anselm Chan, a screenwriter making his third feature, helmed the film. It won five awards at the 43rd Hong Kong Film Awards in 2025, including Best Actress (Michelle Wai). At the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival's World Focus section, a 126-minute version was screened under the title 'The Last Dance'. The theatrical release is a 140-minute director's cut.
