ロマンス詐欺の被害者となった中年女性医師と彼女を騙した詐欺団の「打ち子」の青年による予測不能な恋愛模様を描いた、香港発のロマンティックコメディ。 定職に就けず困窮していた26歳のジョーは、ネットで見つけた高収入アルバイトに応募し、詐欺の世界に足を踏み入れる。詐欺団のトップであるホワイト氏に口のうまさを買われたジョーは、かつてテレビ局で脚本統括を務めていたジョアンから「55歳・フランス人石油技師・アラン」という役を与えられ、マッチングアプリでベロニカという女性に接触する。ベロニカは52歳の冷静沈着な産婦人科医だが、アプリには「25歳・香港人看護師」として登録し、外国人との恋愛を夢見ていた。離婚協議中に夫を亡くしてから空虚な日々を過ごしていた彼女は、アランとのやりとりにのめり込み、送金を重ねていく。ジョーは正体を隠したまま信頼を築きながらも、ベロニカに対して罪悪感を覚えはじめる。そんな折、ベロニカの過去の札幌旅行のSNS投稿を目にしたジョーは、彼女を札幌に誘い出すが……。 名コメディエンヌのサンドラ・ンがベロニカ役、歌手・俳優のMCチョン・ティンフーがジョー役で主演を務めた。脚本家のホー・ミウケイが長編初メガホンをとり、香港に加えて札幌でも撮影を敢行。

A Hong Kong romantic comedy depicting the unpredictable love story between a middle-aged female doctor who becomes a victim of romance fraud and the young 'puller' from the scam gang who deceived her. Joe, 26, unemployed and desperate, applies for a high-paying part-time job online and steps into the world of fraud. Impressed by Joe's silver tongue, the gang's boss, Mr. White, gives him the role of 'Alan, a 55-year-old French petroleum engineer' and has him contact Veronica on a dating app. Veronica is a calm, composed 52-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist, but she registered on the app as a '25-year-old Hong Kong nurse,' dreaming of a romance with a foreigner. Having lived in emptiness since losing her husband during divorce proceedings, she becomes engrossed in her exchanges with Alan and keeps sending him money. While building trust while hiding his identity, Joe begins to feel guilt towards Veronica. Then, seeing Veronica's past social media posts about a trip to Sapporo, Joe lures her there... Acclaimed comedienne Sandra Ng plays Veronica, and singer-actor MC Cheung Tin-fu plays Joe. Screenwriter Ho Miu-kei makes her feature directorial debut, filming in both Hong Kong and Sapporo.
