「ドライヴ」で世界的に注目を集めたデンマークのニコラス・ウィンディング・レフン監督がキャリア初期に手がけた犯罪ドラマ「プッシャー」3部作の第2作。前作で主人公フランクの相棒だった麻薬密売人トニーを主人公に据え、刑務所から戻った男の葛藤と闘いを描き出す。 刑務所から出所した麻薬密売人トニーは、コペンハーゲンの裏社会に通じるギャングの父の仕事を手伝いはじめるも失敗ばかりしていた。そんなある日、彼は知人シャーロットとの間に自分の子どもが生まれていたことを知り、犯罪から足を洗うことを決意する。しかし、断りきれずに協力した麻薬取引に失敗して多額の借金を背負わされ、再び裏社会へと引き戻されていく。 マッツ・ミケルセンが前作に引き続き麻薬密売人トニーを演じ、デンマークのアカデミー賞といわれるロバート賞で最優秀主演男優賞を受賞した。日本では「プッシャー」「プッシャー3」とあわせた3部作で2013年に劇場初公開。2026年5月には、特集上映「北欧の至宝　マッツ・ミケルセン生誕60周年祭」の特別企画として4Kデジタル修復版で3部作をリバイバル公開。

The second film in the 'Pusher' trilogy, an early crime drama by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, who gained global attention with 'Drive.' It centers on drug dealer Tonny, the sidekick of protagonist Frank from the first film, depicting the struggles and battles of a man returning from prison. Released from prison, drug dealer Tonny starts helping his gangster father, who is connected to Copenhagen's underworld, but fails repeatedly. One day, he learns that an acquaintance, Charlotte, has given birth to his child, and decides to go straight. However, unable to refuse, he helps with a drug deal that goes wrong, saddling him with a huge debt and dragging him back into the underworld. Mads Mikkelsen reprises his role as drug dealer Tonny, winning the Robert Award (Denmark's Academy Award) for Best Actor. The trilogy, including 'Pusher' and 'Pusher 3,' had its first theatrical release in Japan in 2013. In May 2026, the trilogy will be revived in 4K digitally restored versions as a special program for the 'Nordic Treasure: Mads Mikkelsen's 60th Birthday Festival.'
