Ray is an actress in a small theater troupe. By day, she devotes herself to rehearsals with her friends, and by night, she works as a dominatrix at an SM club in Shibuya. One evening, Ray becomes friendly with Ayumi, a hotel escort girl she occasionally sees in the elevator of the building where the club is located. Ayumi is a shrewd girl living with Kenji, a ronin studying for medical school entrance exams. The two hit it off and head out into the nightlife. After drinking, dancing, and partying, they part ways, promising to go see the sea at dawn together someday. Finally, the day of Ray's theater troupe's performance arrives. With Ayumi and Ray's client Sawatari watching, Ray's play is a success, met with thunderous applause. Ray is moved by the satisfaction of accomplishing something. Ayumi is also moved seeing Ray like this. The two head out to the coast at dawn in a car driven by a man they picked up.
