1960年代に世界中を虜にしたイギリスの伝説的モデル、ツイッギーの人生と魅力に迫ったドキュメンタリー。 1965年に16歳でデビューしたツイッギーは瞬く間にスターの階段を駆け上り、その愛称通り小枝のように華奢なスタイルと唯一無二のファッションセンスで、それまでの美の常識を覆した。若者を中心に流行したスウィンギング・ロンドンを象徴する存在となった彼女は、世界中でミニスカートブームを巻き起こすなどファッション界に革命をもたらした。その後は自分らしい表現を追い求めて俳優や歌手としても活躍し、1971年にはケン・ラッセル監督のミュージカル映画「ボーイフレンド」で主演を務め大きな注目を集めた。 本作では、ツイッギー本人の言葉や貴重なアーカイブ映像、ブルック・シールズ、ダスティン・ホフマン、ポール・マッカートニー、シエナ・ミラーら彼女にゆかりのある人々へのインタビューなどを通して、ひとりの女性、そして母としての彼女の生き方、葛藤や選択を描き出す。監督は、ドキュメンタリー映画「マリー・クワント　スウィンギング・ロンドンの伝説」なども手がけた俳優のサディ・フロスト。

A documentary exploring the life and allure of Twiggy, the legendary British model who captivated the world in the 1960s. Debuting at age 16 in 1965, Twiggy quickly rose to stardom, and with her famously slender, twig-like figure and unique fashion sense, she overturned conventional standards of beauty. Becoming an icon of the Swinging London youth culture, she revolutionized the fashion world, sparking a global miniskirt boom. Later, pursuing her own forms of expression, she also found success as an actress and singer, notably starring in Ken Russell's 1971 musical film "The Boy Friend," which drew significant attention. Through Twiggy's own words, rare archival footage, and interviews with those connected to her—including Brooke Shields, Dustin Hoffman, Paul McCartney, and Sienna Miller—the film portrays her life as a woman and mother, her struggles, and her choices. The director is actress Sadie Frost, who also helmed the documentary "Mary Quant: The Legend of Swinging London."
