A documentary observing the daily life of Tetsuyo Ishii, who continues to live alone in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, at over 100 years old. In a detached house in a nature-rich mountain town of Onomichi, Tetsuyo Ishii lives alone past the age of 100. She worked as an elementary school teacher and, after retirement, served the community as a welfare commissioner. Since seeing off her husband at 83, she has lived with the help of her niece and neighbors. Even as aging brings more things that don't go as planned, Tetsuyo encourages herself skillfully and flexibly adapts her life with a free spirit. The books introducing her positive, humor-filled words, "102 years old, living alone. Tetsuyo's way of living that keeps her heart and body from rusting" and "103 years old, full of famous quotes. Just kidding," have become bestsellers with cumulative sales exceeding 210,000 copies. The camera captures Tetsuyo's days from age 101 to 104, depicting a life full of hints for living joyfully in old age. Lily Franky provides the narration.
