「ビューティフル・デイ」「少年は残酷な弓を射る」のリン・ラムジー監督が、ジェニファー・ローレンスとロバート・パティンソンを主演に迎え、愛と狂気の狭間で揺れる夫婦の姿を描いた心理ドラマ。第78回カンヌ国際映画祭コンペティション部門に出品され、第83回ゴールデングローブ賞ドラマ部門主演女優賞にもノミネートされた。 田舎町に移り住んだ作家のグレースは、夫ジャクソンとともに新たな生活を始める。穏やかな日々が続くはずだったが、出産をきっかけに彼女の生活は一変。執筆活動は滞り、育児による重圧と孤独、さらに断片的に訪れる幻覚が、日常を徐々に歪めていく。やがて現実と幻想の境界が揺らぎはじめ、グレースの精神は静かに、しかし確実に崩壊へと向かっていく。 主人公グレースを演じるのは、「世界にひとつのプレイブック」でアカデミー主演女優賞に輝いたジェニファー・ローレンス。本作ではプロデューサーも兼任し、出産後の女性が抱える孤独や不安を、自身の出産経験も生かした役作りで体現。夫ジャクソンには、「THE BATMAN ザ・バットマン」のロバート・パティンソンが扮した。原作はアリアナ・ハルウィッツによる小説「死んでよ、アモール」。プロデューサーとしてマーティン・スコセッシが名を連ねる。

Director Lynne Ramsay ("We Need to Talk About Kevin," "You Were Never Really Here") presents a psychological drama starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, depicting a couple torn between love and madness. It was screened in the Competition section of the 78th Cannes Film Festival and nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama. Grace, a writer who moves to a countryside town with her husband Jackson, begins a new life. Peaceful days are shattered after childbirth: her writing stalls, and the pressure and loneliness of childcare, along with fragmentary hallucinations, gradually distort her reality. As the boundary between reality and fantasy blurs, Grace's mind quietly but surely collapses. Jennifer Lawrence, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for "Silver Linings Playbook," plays Grace and also serves as a producer, drawing on her own childbirth experience to embody the loneliness and anxiety of a postpartum woman. Robert Pattinson ("The Batman") plays Jackson. The film is based on the novel "Die, My Love" by Ariana Harwicz, with Martin Scorsese as a producer.
